Optimization Day'2015
Jan 9, 2016, Tunisian Business School, Tunisia
The TDAS optimization day took place in the Tunis Business School (TBS) on Saturday Jan 9, 2016 from 9:30 to 12:30.
The day was animated by Fouad Ben Abdelaziz, Professor at NEOMA Business School, France. Pr. Fouad was a Senior Fulbright scholar at the Rutgers Center for Operations Research, Rutgers University, NJ. He received his PhD in Operations and Decision Systems from Laval University, Canada. He is a leading researcher in multiobjective stochastic optimization. He was among the first to propose solutions to the combinatorial multiobjective problems and is an expert in fuzzy goal optimization programming. Aside his publications in outstanding journals, he served as Co-Editor as well as Guest Editor of special issues of International Journal of Operations and Quantitative Management, European Journal of Operation Research and Fuzzy Sets and Systems. Pr. Fouad will introduce the linear programming theory and present major combinatorial problems as the knapsack problem and the traveling salesman problem. Major algorithms and heuristics dedicated to solve combinatorial problems will be addressed. An overview of stochastic programming along with multiobjective optimization will be analyzed. The seminar will address applications in various domains as the financial portfolio selection.
